Relaxing Leda Road Vacation Suite in a rural setting (Sooke, British Columbia, Canada)

Relaxing Leda Road Vacation Suite in a rural setting

This is a spacious one bedroom, fully equipped suite, located on 5 wooded acres in East Sooke. There are two additional futons, one single and one double, and two additional double bedrooms, with queen sized beds, located in the main house. Custom furniture and fixtures give the suite a serene feel and the quiet location lets all worldly cares slip away.

Your are welcome to borrow our kayaks and venture out onto either fresh or salt water treks, both are nearby. We have a certified canoe and kayak instructor in the family, available evenings and weekends to help get you started in the quiet waters of Anderson Cove, just at the bottom of our street.

Your suite is located only 35 Km from Victoria and only a 5 minute walk from East Sooke Park. East Sooke encompasses 1422 hectares ( 3512 acres) of natural and protected coastal landscape. In this Wilderness Recreation Park, you’ll experience solitude and harmony with nature on a par untouched by urban progress.

Over 50 kilometres ( 31 miles) of trails draw you into the timeless beauty of East Sooke. Begin your exploration at one of the three entry points. Going for a swim takes on a whole new meaning here. We are twenty minutes from river, lake and warm ocean swimming. The Galloping Goose trail system provides bike access to Matheson Lake, a popular swim spot.

Your suite is located close to fine dining, such as the Sooke Harbour House, the casual and excellent Edge Restaurant, and the historic 17 Mile House. Our community has an organic farm market at Ragley Farms, and a number of sport fishing operators. A round of golf is never further than a 30 minute drive.

The first thing that you will notice after a busy day of activities is that as you turn down Gillespie Road, the main entrance to East Sooke, the temperature cools by about 5 degrees. This means that you will never fall asleep to the hum of an air-conditioner, but to the sounds of the breeze and the forest. Evenings can be spent with a dinner on the deck, prepared in your own kitchen, and can end by looking for shooting stars from a vantage spot in the meadow.
