Travel accommodations in Sierra Leone are very limited. You will find that there are hotels and guesthouse available it the Freetown area, and Makeni now offers one or two guest hotels. However, outside of these locations it may be difficult to find rental options when traveling. Some locals do offer private rooms that can be found with a little research. When you do compare the prices of the hotels and guest houses available you will find that they can be quite expensive. In addition you may need to book your travel accommodations, weeks or months in advance, depending on when you plan to travel.
